Quality Door Company is started by Steve and Bud. Jay joins the team a few months later.
About Quality Door Inc.
In 1984 Bertrus [Bud] Mosterd and his son Steve Mosterd left Uncle Bill Compaan’s garage door business to start their own business. Quality Door began in a small rented office and warehouse on VanOmmen Dr on Holland’s northside. As God blessed their efforts a need arose for additional staff and another son Jay soon joined the team. 3 other installers were added and a building was purchased at 2481 VanOmmen Dr in 1986. In 1988 the South Haven location was added with Wayne Lubben as partner and manager. In 2000 the Muskegon location was added with Scott Belanger as manager. In 2007 the Grand Rapids location was added with Mike Kok as manager. In 2002 Steve’s daughter Leslie came to work in the office and in 2011 her husband Chad VanDerHulst came aboard. Chad and Leslie have become partners with Jay and Steve in all locations. Quality Door currently has a staff of 27, 17 employed at Holland, 4 in South Haven, 4 in Muskegon, and 2 in Grand Rapids. Several employees have been with us for 30 years or more!

2024 and Beyond:
Quality Door remains committed to delivering the same great products and services they’ve been known for over the last 40 years. As of March 2024, Quality Door is comprised of 26 employees whose experince averages 13.5 years with the company. To date, 8 employees have been with the company for 20+ years.
